Investment Industries, followed by global Retail and E-Business with professional teams in London, New York, Stamford and Tokyo.
1996 to 1998, Regional Credit Director, Citibank Consumer Banking Group, Singapore. Responsible for a $12B consumer loan portfolio in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand with credit teams in each country.
1990 to 1996 Investment, Credit and Trust Services Head, Asia Pacific Private Bank, Hong Kong and Singapore. Business Manager for the high net worth market ($50M+) segment throughout Asia, followed by Asia-wide credit head responsibility.
1987 to 1990 Credit Head Philippines Corporate Bank. Country Credit Officer managing corporate credit in a market characterized by debt rescheduling of heavily classified portfolio with analysts and an Institutional Recovery Management unit.
1981 to 1987, Head of credit for Specialized Industries followed by Head of Credit for the Northeast Corporate Bank, and then the Northeast Consumer Bank.
1967 to 1981. Started up a Chicago office Citibank’s first Food, Commodity and Agribusiness office in the region. Successful start-up led to being given management of the Agribusiness offices in Houston and San Francisco. Subsequent responsibilities included increasingly responsible risk management, performing due diligence and acquisition support of financial institutions.
Credit Training Experience
As a senior risk manager in the E-Business sector establishing credit policy for dealing with outsourcing startups.
Performing in-house training of colleagues on how to credit analyze and evaluate startup risks.
In the Private Bank, held classes in credit analysis for private bankers extending loans for clients investing in real
estate, both residential and commercial.
In the Consumer Bank, as head of Southeast Asia Credit, started a training center in Singapore supporting offices
throughout Asia. Received professional training for teaching and taught several classes along with my training
center staff.
Since retiring in early 2004, was hired back by Citigroup to deliver three seminars, one week each, in New York (2
seminars), and London.
Current Experience
Member of Charleston Angel Partners, active in due diligence and investment monitoring, and executive committee meetings.
Recently approved as a member of the Hollings Cancer Center Advisory Board of MUSC.

1969 Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Michigan with major in psychology and minor in Mathematics.
1971 MBA from Columbia University in Finance and International Business, honors.
